oke sepertinya gue memutuskan untuk terus ngepost essay-essay bikinan gue di blog ini, biar ngga sepi dan biar ada gunanya juga sih blog-nya daripada kalian baca curhatan gue yang gak pernah jelas... well di essay ke-3 ini gue harus menulis tentang gimana caranya mengurangi kemacetan di jakarta kalo gue adalah gubernurnya~ btw nilai essay ke-3 ini naik looh dari yang kemaren 85 sekarang 87 hehehe :3
indonesia is the fourth most populous nation in the world after China, India and United States. Jakarta as the capital city of Indonesia gets the impact from this. Jakarta is the central of everything; the centre of trading, centre of goverment and every day, 12 million people do their activities in this city. therefore, this condition leads Jakarta to be the most crowded city in Indonesia. Besides the most crowded city, Jakarta is also the most traffic-congested city. if I were the governer of Jakarta, I would solve this traffiv congestion problem by improving public transportation and encouraging the function of bikes.
jakarta's government had tried so many ways to reduce traffic congestion. one of them is the three-in-one policy. this policy requires vehicles to have at least three passengers on busy roads at peak hours. but, it's not effective because people always break the rules. the main reason in people using their own car is because public transportation is inadequate. therefore, improving public transportation is very important; not only improving but also adding some numbers of it and making a variation of public transportation, for example, subway, monorail and so on.
another solution to this problem is by using bikes. there are some benefits of using bikes; first, helping in losing weight and improving overall health; second, reducing the traffic congestion and last reducing air pollution because bicycles produce no pollution. Sadly, in Jakarta the bike lanes are limited. the government should provide them and public spaces should provide the bicycle racks.
in conclusion, one of the main reasons the traffic congestion happens is because the large amount of private transportation. this problem can be tackled by improving public transportation and by encourage the use of bikes.
